The Salina Polar Plunge will take place February 21 at Webster Conference Center. Each participant must raise $75 in order to take the plunge. The average participant raised $160 in 2014.
In addition to the plunge, a 5k Strut, a foot race, is planned. The cost is $10, or $25 with touch-screen gloves. A Plunge & Strut package is $100.
Registration and early packet pick-up is 5-7pm February 20 at the Saline County Sheriff's Office, 251 N. 10th. On Plunge day, registration and packet pick-up begins at 8:30am. A shotgun start for the 5k Strut is 9:30am. An awards ceremony is at 11:15am, and the Plunge begins at 11:30am.
