A national Swedish holiday celebrated in Lindsborg with Swedish food, music, dancing, art, games and the raising of the Midsommarstång (Midsummer Pole). Midsummer's Festival is one of the most popular of all Swedish celebrations, and Lindsborg is proud to host this fun-filled Swedish-American festival.
There is entertainment throughout the day, including a full slate of children's activities; all located downtown beginning at 9:00 a.m. The beer garden opens at 10:30 a.m. The Dala Camerata Quartet will present a chamber music concert at the Birger Sandzén Memorial Gallery at 3:00 p.m. Then Heritage Square opens its gates at 5:00 p.m. to include the raising of the Midsummer's Pole, Kubb Championship game and more dancing! End the day with a "midnight" swim from 10:00-12:00 p.m. The whole day is free of charge.
