It’s time to get tough Kansas! For the first time ever Bigfoot and the Toughest Monster Truck Tour is coming to the Bicentennial Center on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 7:30 PM. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, December 6 at 10 AM.

Tickets are $30 for Gold Circle and $22 for adults; kids (2-12) get in for $10, excluding Gold Circle. Save $5 on adult tickets in the $22 level and get free Pit Passes with any purchase before December 22. Tickets for all events at the Bicentennial Center are available online at BicentennialCenter.com, by phone at 1-888-826-SHOW (7469) or at the box office.

All monster truck events are not created equal. The Toughest Monster Truck Tour strives to create more exciting events by building challenging dirt tracks and bringing together some of the best monster trucks and drivers in the nation.  Here’s what fans can expect to see at the Toughest Monster Truck Tour event at the Bicentennial Center:

  1. 1,500 tons of dirt will be hauled in on 60 trucks to transform the floor of the Bicentennial Center into a challenging dirt track with obstacles and turns never seen before in Salina. Higher degree of difficulty for the drivers means a higher risk for crashes and a more exciting event for the fans.
  2. Five monster trucks will compete in three elements:
    • Wheelie Competition - each truck does two wheelies and is judged based on height and general “wow-factor”
    • Racing
    • Freestyle – A fan favorite: each truck will have two minutes to hit all the obstacles in judged event
    • The truck with the highest combined score will be named the Toughest Monster Truck!
  3. Bigfoot, Captain USA, Double Trouble, Toxic and Over Bored will compete
  4. The fire-breathing, car-eating transforming dinosaur robot Transaurus!

“Monster truck fans will love the Toughest Monster Truck Tour because we plan on taking this event to a level never seen before at a monster truck show in Salina. The meat and potatoes of Toughest Monster Truck Tour events is always monster trucks, with some side acts included just for fun, such as Transaurus,” said Kelly Goldman of Thunderbird Entertainment, the event promoter.  “Because the Toughest Monster Truck Tour has never been to Salina, we encourage fans to take a look at our Facebook page or web site for feedback from fans at our other events.”

 
The stars of Toughest Monster Truck Tour will get up close and personal with fans before each event during the Pit Party.  Fans holding a pit pass and an event ticket will be allowed onto the floor of the Bicentennial Center before each event. Free pit passes will automatically be included with every ticket purchased before December 22.
