A backroads "tractor-cade" from the Central Kansas Flywheels Yesteryear Museum to Gypsum is meant to be fun. It starts at the Museum about a mile west of the truck stops on North Ninth Street. The route will cover 47 miles roundtrip.
The event is open to any tractor capable of traveling at least 10 mph. There is no need to be a tractor club member to participate. The cost is $15. Proceeds go to a scholarship foundation for anything agriculture-related and restoration grants.
Up to 50 tractors are expected.
Go online to http://www.kansastractorclub.com for a map and registration information. Registration will begin at 8am at the Museum and the tractor-cade will depart at 9am. Bring your own lunch. Drivers will dine in Gypsum at roughly noon.
Onlookers are welcome at any point along the route.
